About ABS

The American Bible Society is an organization of people who believe that great things can happen when people encounter and embrace the message of the Bible. We operate in a world cluttered with competing and confusing messages from many sources; our mission is to cut through the clutter with the life-changing message of the Bible, making it relevant to all ages and cultures in easily understood and affordable formats.

We employ talented people from disciplines that fall into the following categories:

Program Administration:

Develop Scripture-based programs such as literacy curriculum, ministry leadership training for youth gang intervention, work with ministry partners to test and implement new ideas in Scripture delivery.

Translation:

Collaborate with biblical scholars who translate Scripture in new media formats.

Fund Raising:

Connect people with a heart for the Bible cause with related giving opportunities.

Marketing & Sales:

Provide the Bible to people in affordable translations and languages in the United States and through our worldwide network of affiliated Bible Societies.

Administration:

Support the mission with accounting services, technology, legal expertise, building services and other administrative disciplines.
