A national campaign to spark new—and renewed—Bible readership is launching this week.  American Bible Society and LifeChurch.tv’s YouVersion are joining together to launch a Spanish version of the nation’s most popular Bible app.  The new app features the world’s best-known Spanish Bible translation (Reina Valera 1960).

This event signals the official launch of the American Bible Society DESCUBRE LA BIBLIA Campaign, a national effort designed to encourage leaders within America’s Spanish-speaking communities to encourage daily Bible reading.

YouVersion is one of the world’s most popular mobile apps with more than 10 million users.  Since its first launch in September 2007, users have spent more than 3.5 billion minutes exploring a growing range of Bible content. Placing YouVersion Spanish alongside American Bible Society offerings, the DESCUBRE Campaign is focused on meeting growing gaps within American Scripture comprehension and engagement.
