Our prayers go out to all those affected by the tragedy in Connecticut.
Praise God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! The Father is a merciful God, who always gives us comfort. He comforts us when we are in trouble, so that we can share this same comfort with others in trouble.
— 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (CEV)
Please pray with us for all the families experiencing fear, grief and loss at this time.
Dear God,
Please comfort the families of all involved in this time of loss and overwhelming grief. We don't always understand why tragedy strikes. But strengthen us to turn our eyes to you as we seek to trust in your faithfulness. Even when our hearts are broken, we know that you are near. We know that you will never abandon us. And we know that you are never far from our grief – even sending your own son to live and die and rise for us. Show us your compassion, Lord. Help us through the pain so that we can feel your hope again. Even if we can't see past today, we trust your great love will never fail us.
Amen.
As you pray with us, we also encourage you to seek hope in God's Word. Below, you'll find a link to our free Scripture Journey on hope.
