Getting started is simple:
STEP 1: Read through the description of the Program Guide and Frequently Asked Questions, clarifying the principles and practices of this Fund.
STEP 2: Fill out a short application form to open your Fund and determine your key selection criteria.
STEP 3: Make an initial contribution of $50,000 or more in assets-- Subsequent contributions may be $10,000 or more, maintaining a minimum balance of $25,000. Tax deduction is determined when the American Bible Society receives full control of the gift as governed by IRS rules.
STEP 4: Determine the specific Scripture initiatives you want to support and submit a grant recommendation. The American Bible Society administers all disbursements and needed tax documentation while providing you with a quarterly reporting of results.

Any United States-based agency that is a recognized 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code may receive a grant from the Fund. However, the Fund has been established to support the broad mission of the American Bible Society (the Society) which is to make the Bible available to every person in a language and format each can understand and afford, so that all people may experience its life-changing message. The grant requests will be reviewed and approved by the Grant Review Committee of the Fund. However, the Fund will provide a list of approved charities and institutions that meet our approved criteria. In addition, the Fund will provide a set of criteria under which grants would be declined, such as grants to organizations openly antithetical to Christian beliefs. Grants cannot be awarded to individuals, including scholarships to individuals. Donors and any related individual may not receive tangible benefits from a grant. These include items such as meals, concert tickets, tuition, or museum membership benefits.
