This Web site, accessed though one of several urls, including without limitation www.bibles.com, www.bibles.org, or www.americanbible.org (collectively, the "Site"), is published and maintained by the American Bible Society (ABS), and is in accordance with its policies.  You can e-mail us at webmaster@americanbible.org.

Any "linked" site accessible through www.americanbible.org, but which is not an ABSite, will have its own privacy policy that is specific to such site. When you access, browse or use such linked site, you accept the terms and conditions of any privacy policies governing such site.

Our policy regulating all ABSites is simple:

The American Bible Society is committed to protecting your privacy. We allow you to provide as much personal information as you feel comfortable providing. We do not release personal information about you to any third party, except as expressly permitted by you or required by law or court order. We take all reasonable steps to protect your privacy, regardless of how much information you provide.

You control what personal information you provide to us online, and what we can do with such information. You may provide us information about yourself to help us make our Web sites more responsive to you.

We may ask you to supply personal information to us online, including your e-mail address, during a "registration" process. "Tracking" Information

ABS assigns a random number anonymously to each user for tracking content preferences and traffic patterns. This random number enables us to record how many times customers access certain pages, without "naming" who those customers are. This random number, called a "cookie," is kept in a file on your computer. Cookies by themselves cannot be used to determine the identity of any user.

We also log IP (Internet Protocol) addresses, or the location of your computer on the Internet, for systems administration. These IP addresses are not used to track your session nor are they linked to anything personally identifiable.

What ABS does with the "Tracking" Information

We use the information you provide to personalize portions of the site, so that you receive content that is most useful to you. Other information enlightens our development of products and services, making them more responsive to your needs.

We ask for some optional information so we can maintain a dialogue further with you about our new products and services. We will only contact you if you permit us to do so. These Terms and Conditions of Use and any additional terms posted on this Site together constitute the entire agreement between ABS and you with respect to your use of this Site. Any cause of action you may have with respect to your use of this Site must be commenced within one (1) year after the claim or cause of action arises. If for any reason a court of competent jurisdiction finds any provision of these Terms and Conditions of Use, or portion thereof, to be unenforceable, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permissible so as to effect the intent of this agreement, and the remainder of these Terms and Conditions of Use shall continue in full force and effect.
