Barriers—including language, format, persecution, and poverty—separate millions of people around the world from Scripture. Every day, people are living and dying without the chance to meet Jesus. Together, we can break down these barriers.
We believe that access to the Bible is an urgent spiritual need. On the pages of Scripture, God reveals himself to us and invites us into an abundant life filled with faith, hope, and everlasting joy. Without the message of salvation delivered in the Bible, we are lost in the darkness of sin and cut off from the source of absolute truth.
Through the generosity of a global community of donors, we’re helping to make the Bible accessible to all by translating its sacred words into every living language, printing and distributing millions of copies worldwide, and developing new digital platforms that allow people to engage with Scripture wherever they are.
Helping People Experience God through His Word
A Bible in hand can still be out of reach. But, when we experience the Living Word of God, everything changes. When we engage deeply with Scripture, we become more generous, more compassionate, more loving toward our neighbors, and more hopeful about the future. Most importantly, meeting God through his written Word opens the door for people to receive Christ’s gift of eternal salvation.
Our faithful community of givers helps make these encounters possible by providing Bible-centered resources that draw people closer to Jesus and empower them to live out the truths of Scripture. Through daily devotionals, prayer guides, Bible stories, and teachings crafted for diverse audiences, we help illuminate Scripture for all people—from U.S. military members and veterans to those who cannot afford a Bible to suffering people longing to hear the Good News.
Empowering People to Advance God’s Mission
Jesus has given us a clear and powerful commission: “Go to the people of all nations and make them my disciples” (Matthew 28:19 CEV). This call sends every follower of Christ into the world to share the Good News. It also guides how we share the gospel in our own nation. To that end, we invite people transformed by God’s Word to join a movement that helps others experience freedom, hope, and new life found in Christ.
We believe that lives, communities, and nations change for good when the gospel goes forth. Our own history and ministry in the United States is full of men and women who pursued biblical ideals like liberty, hope, and justice as they shaped our nation. Today, we work with our community of donors and ministry partners worldwide to empower people to carry God’s Word forward as they build God’s Kingdom.
Serving America’s Heroes
Brave men and women in our military serve in hostile regions around the world and continue to put their lives at risk daily. Military families and veterans sacrifice to protect our country too. Scripture can provide comfort and peace to carry them through the most difficult circumstances unique to serving in our military.
