There are approximately 76 million Catholics in the United States, nearly half of whom are Hispanic or Latino. And while research shows that a large majority desire to read the Bible more, there are limited Spanish Bible resources, creating a barrier to accessing God’s Word regularly.
To meet this need, American Bible Society’s
Catholic Ministries and Bishop Robert Barron, auxiliary bishop for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, have produced a video collection of Bible commentaries in Spanish. These 10-minute videos cover topics that inspire viewers to think, pray, and act. They include The Lord’s Prayer, The Ten Commandments, The Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist, and more. Scripture study exercises are also available.
It is our prayer that every person finds ways to connect with God daily and grow in relationship with him. We pray that these Bible resources will encourage Spanish-speaking Catholics to enjoy God’s message of love. Will you join us?
Pray for:
- Spanish-Speaking Catholics. Pray that the Bible’s message will touch hearts and draw people into a deeper understanding of God’s love.
- The Church. Ask God to give wisdom and guidance to church leaders as they guide and inspire congregations to grow in faith.
- Bible Resources. Ask God to use Bible resources like this video collection to fuel greater understanding of his truth.
