“This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine . . .” I remember singing this song in Sunday School when I was a little girl. And by the time the double doors to our church flung open, I was determined to let my light shine for all the world to see.
But I would come to learn that shining my light wasn’t about shouting the lyrics to this song everywhere I went. It was about letting the Holy Spirit guide my thoughts, words, and deeds.
God created us to shine his light in dark places. Our lives can help point others to God’s love.
