More than 4,700 Nigerians are now hearing God’s Word read over audio Scripture listening devices called Proclaimers. Many of them met Jesus through the JESUS film, a movie that recounts Jesus’s life in epic form.
In 2018, Bible Society of Nigeria attracted 34 new partners that showed the JESUS film in places where there was no local church. New believers were invited to join Bible listening groups that become church plants. The program is now extending throughout Nigeria.
“The program is helping me grow steadily, spiritually,” said Dennis Abi, a Nigerian farmer. “I am convinced that if Jesus comes today, I will go to heaven with him.”
