In Ghana, hundreds of women have been banished to “witch
camps” after being falsely accused of sorcery. They are blamed
for sickness, droughts, and fires, and they are often driven
from their homes by violent mobs. In the camps, women have
solidarity with one another—and little else.
Bible Society of Ghana is sending trained facilitators into
these camps to bring Bible-based trauma healing to women
forsaken by their communities.
