HOLY LAND BIBLE SOCIETIES PROMOTES PEACE AND HEALING THROUGH GOD’S WORD
In the midst of war and unrest, our three Holy Land Bible Society partners are tirelessly promoting peace and healing through God’s Word. From workshops on trauma healing, sharing Bibles and scripture booklets, providing critical aid, and Bible-based children’s and youth activities, they are helping families find hope, forgiveness and healing.
BIBLE TRANSLATORS TRAIN FOR THE FUTURE
Papua New Guinea (PNG) is a linguistically diverse nation with more than 800 languages – nearly 300 of which have yet to receive a translation of God’s Word. Recently, 33 Bible translators representing 13 Bible Societies from Asia Pacific gathered for vital training sessions. The Bible Society of Papua New Guinea General Secretary, Joel Peter shares, “The knowledge they have acquired on Biblical Exegesis and Translation will help them produce a better translation in their language reflective of the source text.”
