The people of Central Africa know about pain and suffering. The region has been ravaged by warfare, genocide, abuse, and disasters. People like Marta* struggle to survive the trauma.
“I lost everything during the war,” Marta says. As a victim of war, she suffered for years.
Long after the trauma, pain continues to torment. That is why American Bible Society is committed to a Bible-based trauma healing outreach to offer hope to people like Marta. The generosity of Bible Society friends makes it possible!
Already 165,000 traumatized people from the Central Africa region have been helped. And more than 1,400 pastors and Christian leaders have been trained and are equipped to conduct trauma healing sessions.
Through this effort, hurting people like Marta find the message of healing and love within the pages of the Bible.
“I thank God for this training,” Marta says. “God has remembered us through this program. God is restoring me and my family. Once again, I now have a Bible that I treasure.”
This is the kind of life-changing difference American Bible Society financial partners are making with their support, and we thank them for helping to restore healing to those who have witnessed unspeakable tragedy.
