Leaders from American Bible Society, The New York City Leadership Center, Concerts of Prayer Greater New York and a large Hispanic network—CONLICO gathered together at the ABS headquarters in New York City on Pentecost Sunday, May 19th, to launch this year’s collaborative effort: Now is the Time: Acts. Leaders from American Bible Society and This new thirty-day Journey through the book of Acts is the third annual Scripture reading campaign where thousands of people nationwide will engage in God’s Word and intentionally seek ways to live it out in their cities.

The New York City Leadership Center, president and founder, Dr. Mac Pier shares, “Communities, churches, and organizations throughout our nation will be reading, reflecting, and responding to the amazing New Testament Book of Acts”. Reverend Gary Frost, president of Concerts of Prayer, adds, “I am so excited that the nation is being called to pray through and live out the Book of Acts. I can only imagine the impact that our churches and cities will experience as a result”.

A team of 70 writers, including Pastor Rick Warren of Saddleback Community Church, Richard Stearns of World Vision, and Dr. Wess Stafford of Compassion International created these journeys. The interactive Now is the Time: Acts website offers discussion guides, sermon outlines, reading plans, bookmarks and more. Users can choose one of three tracks: the adult track, the youth track or the track designed specifically for children to follow with their parents. .
