The Bibles and audio Bibles you help provide are introducing people to Jesus in some of the poorest countries around the world. In South Asia, despite persecution, more and more people from other faiths are deciding to follow Christ.
Hasan* is 65 years old and unable to read. He has been a follower of Islam his entire life, but became intrigued when he received a visit from local Bible Society staff who gave him an audio Bible and invited him to attend the Bible listening group in his area.
At the time, Hasan shares, “I did not believe in the Lord Jesus.”
Now, Hasan’s favorite Bible verse is John 3:16 because, in his words, “This gives me confidence that God sent Jesus for my salvation. Without the Bible, I would have continued as an unbeliever.”
Since receiving the audio Bible, Hasan and his family have given their lives to Christ and continue to grow in their Christian faith — despite the isolation and persecution they encounter. They also received a printed Bible in their heart language that Hasan’s wife reads to him every night.
