Huan’s* life changed dramatically when he was diagnosed with esophageal cancer a few years ago. He’d been informed that the surgery to remove the tumor would be extremely painful, and as he shares, “I don’t like pain.”
Overhearing Huan’s concerns, another patient at the hospital offered to pray for him, adding, “My God will take the pain away.”
After the procedure, Huan thought it was miraculous that he was experiencing little to no pain. “I was wishing to know God better,” Huan says, so he began attending the church near his village — and soon surrendered his life to Jesus.
Unfortunately, Huan explains, “We only had one Bible in our church, so I began to copy it chapter by chapter.” He did so for the next two years.
Recently, Huan and the members of his church received several boxes of new Bibles — thanks to the generosity of friends like you. Now, every member of the church has a Bible of their own to read whenever they want as they continue to grow in their faith.
