Chang* grew up in a Christian home in rural China, but his family could never afford a Bible. In his late 20s, Chang had the opportunity to attend Bible school and was gifted a Chinese Bible by his pastor. Chang studied it diligently and says that is when he “truly came to know God.”

After graduating and returning home, Chang noticed the lack of Bible-based teaching, especially in the Wa language of his community. “People in our village didn’t know the Bible,” he explains. “Without God’s Word, there is no hope.”

Thanks to faithful partners like you, Chang soon received a Wa Bible translation which has given him a deeper understanding of God’s Word. It has also helped him more easily share the Gospel message with others in his village.

“With the Wa Bible, the people can better understand God’s Word and communicate with God in their heart language,” Chang shares.
