When Marcel’s* parents separated, the young boy was crushed. His father moved away, leaving Marcel sad and lonely. He began to act out, struggling to make sense of his feelings.
“I felt sad all the time,” Marcel remembers. He didn’t know if his father would ever come home again.
There are millions of children across the world like Marcel, forced into situations they don’t understand through no fault of their own. With proper guidance and teachings, these kids can overcome their challenges and thrive for the rest of their lives. Without it, they can face a life of hardship and sin.
Praise God, then, that friends like you were there to lift up Marcel through His Word!
“This is my first Bible,” he says. “My first reading was the book of John. I was very excited.”
Before, Marcel had never read the Bible or even prayed. Now, in addition to helping improve his reading skills, the Bible is teaching Marcel about God’s love for him.
“Now I know that God is with me through my Bible,” he says. “My life is changing. He helps me, He loves me, and He will never leave me. With God, I can be happy.
“My life was going to be very sad,” Marcel continues. “Now, I can talk to God, read my New Testament, and know that He is with me.”

“I feel different because now Jesus is with me,” Marcel says. “Thank you for changing my life.”
