In September 2016, American Bible Society and its partners equipped leaders in Charlotte, N.C., to serve their communities through Bible-based trauma healing. During the weeklong training, participants learned how to combine the redemptive power of Scripture with mental health best practices to care for spiritually wounded people in Charlotte.
With its large population of refugees and military veterans, along with enduring racial tensions, Charlotte has a growing need for the healing power of God’s Word. Through the generous support of American Bible Society’s financial partners, a growing network of trauma healing facilitators in Charlotte is now equipped to help meet that need.
