Joanna Lothers, 8½, sold cookies at her father's office to raise money for Scripture distribution to the troops. Her mother, Laura Lothers, said, “Yes, she made a lot of cookies and sold them for $.25 each.” Dad, Michael Lothers, creates software for Wycliffe Bible Translators, so the folks at the office were supportive. Laura sent in the check for $64.19 to American Bible Society and that money has gone toward 16 military Bibles for troops overseas. Joanna is the older sister to David, who is too young to be baking cookies but was impressed with the effort.
