Recently a team from American Bible Society visited the frontlines of eastern Ukraine to encourage soldiers with a Bible especially designed for the Ukrainian Army.
The team also provided Children’s Bibles to the men and women in service who are parents. The military personnel were grateful to the point of tears. Many are far from home and concerned about their families.
One young soldier said, “I am a Christian. Thank you for sharing the Word of God with us. I read it every day.”
During the tour, a barrage of shelling from Russian militia artillery rained down, but spirits remained high as Troops relied on God’s protective hand. The unit commander told our team, “Please continue to help my men spiritually.”
The ongoing support of American Bible Society’s financial partners gives comfort and encouragement to those on the frontlines in Ukraine.
