Tapos Manda’s childhood ended when he was six years old. That’s when his father died and Tapos was forced to work in the fields to help sustain his poverty-ridden family.
Born into a poor tribal family in Bangladesh, Tapos carried man-size responsibilities on his young shoulders. Unable to attend school or play with other children, Tapos grew up without the carefree joy many of us experience as a child. But as a teen, he discovered someone to carry his burdens.
“I’ve given my life to Jesus. He has given his life for my sins. His grace is greatest to me,” says Tapos.
Because of a Bible provided by American Bible Society’s financial partners, Tapos learned about living for Christ in his very own copy of God’s Word!
The light of God’s Word reaches into the darkest corners of the world, and every Bible shares makes an eternal impact on someone like Tapos.
“I am thankful to those who gave me the Bible,” he says. “It is a very precious gift to me.”
Partners of American Bible Society will continue distributing God’s Word and engaging the people of Bangladesh with Scripture. We ask for your prayers that we will be able to reach more lives with life-changing Word of God.
