In the wake of Hurricane Harvey, the devastating Category
4 hurricane that struck eastern Texas in August 2017,
American Bible Society’s prayer and financial partners
ministered to suffering communities with the gift of God’s
Word. Ten ministries and relief agencies in Texas partnered
to distribute more than 30,000 Scriptures to hurting people
in the Greater Houston area. Because of you, people in
Texas are rebuilding their lives through the hope and
strength found in God’s Word.
“No words [can] describe what these Bibles mean to us
and the people receiving them,” says Tammie Jurek, event
coordinator at Grace School of Theology near Houston.
“Thank you for your gifts of love to the people in Texas.”
