May you always be joyful in your union with the Lord. I say it again: rejoice!
Philippians 4:4 GNT
In this sixth episode of the Letters from Paul series from American Bible Society, you’ll explore Philippians 4:4-9.
Philippians is another letter written by Paul during his imprisonment in Rome. He encourages his audience in the Lord, reminding them to continue living gospel-centered lives.
In Philippians 4:4-9, Paul reminds the Philippians—and us—to rejoice in our relationship with our heavenly Father. Even in his imprisonment, Paul knew that his soul was safe in Christ. This allowed him to experience joy in difficult circumstances and to encourage his fellow believers in the Lord. He invites us to pray for everything we need. In giving all our wants and cares to God, we will experience true peace.
Watch and be inspired by Paul’s words of joy and peace in the Lord.
