Hundreds of thousands of children like Elias* are growing up as refugees in Malaysia after escaping the horrors of war, violent persecution, or extreme poverty in their home countries. Among these refugees are the Rohingya, a Muslim minority group seeking refuge from genocidal atrocities in Myanmar.
Because of the faithful generosity of partners like you, the Bible Society in Malaysia has a powerful outreach to these refugees and migrants. You’re helping to provide them with Bibles in their heart language, children’s illustrated Bibles, and other Scripture resources that introduce them to the Gospel message — often for the very first time. Children frequently share the Bible stories they have learned with their parents.
Elias recently wrote a letter to express his sincere gratitude for the Bible and discipleship he received over the past six years. He writes:
Without you in my life, I would be a cruel boy. I wouldn’t know anything about Christianity or who Jesus is. Now, because of you, I know who Jesus is! I appreciate the things you have done more than words can say.
Thank you for helping place God’s Word into the hands and hearts of hurting refugees and migrants. So many have seen their lives transformed — and their hope renewed — upon accepting Jesus as their Savior.
