Although 14 percent of teenagers in the United States saw their Bible reading decrease this past year, 18 percent increased their time in God’s Word, according to “2016 Teen State of the Bible.” The survey was commissioned by American Bible Society and conducted by Barna Group. Additionally, 53 percent of teenagers say they wish they read the Bible more.
“[This] report shows that a majority of America’s teens have respect for and interest in the Bible,” says Arthur Satterwhite, who oversees national movements for American Bible Society. “[We] will continue to develop tools and resources to help teens dive into God’s Word and experience its life-changing message.”
