The modern world is changing the ways in which we communicate — sometimes radically. This affects how people hear and read God's Word. The Nida Institute for Biblical Scholarship hosted an international conference to discuss the future of Bible translation.

Top scholars from the fields of linguistics, cultural studies and translation theory joined Nida Institute Dean Dr. Robert Hodgson and Director of Translations Dr. Steven Berneking in Lima, Peru. At this high-altitude meeting, attendees discussed how cooperation across academic disciplines has become absolutely necessary.

The Institute plans to release a publication edited by Dr. Berneking, drawing on addresses and papers presented at the conference.
