Last year, our partners helped make the first Okun New Testament a reality for waiting believers all across North Central Nigeria. It was the very first Bible translation into the Okun language.

We recently received a wonderful testimony from Makele*, a farmer living in Kaduna State, Nigeria. A childhood friend had given him a copy of the Okun New Testament. He shared, “I was delighted. This Bible is in my heart language. It has given me confidence to evangelize in my native language.”

Makele has suffered extreme hardships in recent years, including the loss of his job, the inability to provide for his family, and the plunge into poverty and hunger. His decision to start over and earn a humble living as a farmer in Kaduna State brought many struggles, but now, having God’s Word in his own language, Makele has renewed hope and tremendous joy.

“My heart yearns to spread the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to my people. My life has already been transformed as I read the Word of God daily.”

Thanks to the generosity of our friends, we are working to translate the Bible into every language in the world, so that all may have the urgently needed Word of God in their heart language!
