“This Bible is a treasure to my heart,” Ariana* says with a heartwarming smile and her Kpelle-language audio Bible in hand. As a leper living in a deeply poor village in West Africa, she likely would never have been able to purchase a Bible of her own. Like her family and neighbors, Ariana worshiped the gods of the village with practices similar to voodoo and witchcraft.
Ariana heard about the local Bible Society’s End-to-End outreach near her village and decided to attend. As she watched the JESUS Film in her heart language, her heart began to change. She shares, “That film blew my mind. Seeing Jesus go through all of what He endured was an emotional moment for me.”
Ariana soon began attending an audio Bible listening group. She explains, “I had grown up with hate in my heart for God, blaming Him for all that went wrong in my life. But I got to know God while attending the audio Bible listening group, and there, I gave my life to Jesus!”
