What does it mean for a Soldier to have a Bible of his or her own — especially when deployed to dangerous regions around the world? As Army Officer Aaron Moore* shares, “When I had a Bible in my hands, I was able to hear God speak. It changed my life. It was the Word of God that saved me.”

Aaron didn’t have a relationship with Jesus when he began his 31-year-long military career in service to our country.

After friends like you helped place a Bible into Aaron’s hands, he committed his life to Christ, and that Bible gave him a sense of peace during very difficult deployments in the Middle East.

“I’ve been to multiple combat deployments,” he says. “I’ve seen many ugly things. War is horrible . . . I knew from my relationship with God that if something happened to me, He would take care of my family, and I had no doubt where I was going if I were killed in combat.”

Over the years, that same Bible also helped him minister to young men who were on their first deployment and afraid to die.

“If you have a Bible with you in combat, you can talk to them about Christ,” Aaron explains. Men who didn’t seem to care about God or eternity until they were facing the possibility of death for the very first time . . . That is when they would turn to him and say, “Tell me about God.”

Because of your generosity, American heroes like Aaron and other battle-worn Soldiers have received the Word of God, which has transformed their lives. You’re helping American military heroes come to know Christ through the Bibles you help provide. Thank you for helping them!
